Branding Brief
With this client, I wanted to establish a cohesive process in which we could follow along with and create explicit goals.
Following this brief, the client answered questions related specifically to the brands ideals, customers, and personal beliefs. Through their answers, I constructed the above branding booklet to provide recommendations to the client to improve their visual and social media identity.
Gaining a thorough understanding of the artisans process, materials, and inspiration was integral to creating an effective and attractive brand voice. Through these identifiable factors, the brand owner and I were able to craft a social media and web voice that would accurately portray the quality and lifestyle associated with this brand.
Creating cohesiveness through the platforms A Thousand Joys uses was a key issue. There were disconnects between fonts on the web interface, as well as the brand voice and copy writing shown under each product in social media posts and e-tailer spaces on the web.
Using color, font, voice, and motifs to create cohesive web design and packaging, this rebranding successfully created a booklet to provide strong and clear recommendations to the business owner to improve overall cohesiveness and effective advertising.
Logo
Reworking the brand icon was a central issue to tackle, as readability and strong communication of brand ideals were at the forefront of this project.
Utilizing the provided data about customer profiles, the business owner and I were able to collaborate on a new logo and reinforced the original brand identity through a clearer voice and comfortable font choice to ensure customers had a luxurious and hand crafted experience through web interfaces and social media interaction.
In addition to the Logo, the branding was refined through intentional font choice that matched not only the design motifs of the products, but also the brand ideals and target consumers. Reaching an understanding of the customer profile, the fonts were chosen to portray luxuriousness in conjunction with a serious yet playful brand voice and identity.
Choosing the voice to appeal to the customer base was ideated and communicated through intentional social media captioning and posting. This effectively showcases the heirloom quality of the brand to the consumer, as well as the statements and lifestyle that being a part of this brands community has to offer.
